Bringing back Pin ups !

My awesomely talented friend Julia Busato of Julia Busato Boudoir Photography hosted this amazing workshop complete with models for us Photogs to get our creative on and get some shots in ! Megan Haddad did make up Megz Make-up.  Susan Rice of Creative Designs did hair !!

Seriously, what is more fun than a very brightly coloured shoot!? LOVED it. I also happen to love the images that resulted from it ( and not just my own ! ). It took a bit of courage for me to actually sign up for this course, it’s not something I had done before, and I really hadn’t actually met other local photographers in my community. I must say it was absolutely worth it, not only did I walk away with great images. I walked away with a lot of new friendships ! I discovered a few things about myself as a photographer there a) I love the lensbaby look ( the ones where it’s very blurry with a nice thin slice of focus ) b) photogs make great friends c) I learned I really want to focus on women with my photography.

I feel very strongly about women. Probably because I am one and I have the same struggles that every other woman see in their mirror. That dang mirror it haunts us every time we walk by. For some reason we have this message stuck in our heads that lets us believe we aren’t pretty enough we aren’t good enough. Well enough is ENOUGH.. Say it with me  enough is enough! You are perfect the way you are right now. No seriously, don’t laugh or roll your eyes or think “yea right” because you know what? You are. I can prove it. Try me. I dare you.
